College Hoops Week Ahead- Big Ten/ACC Challenge

November 30, 2015 // 0 Comments

The college hoops season is about 3 weeks old and the early story line this season has been chaos, and it won’t be surprising if we continue to see turnover like this throughout the early part of the year as young teams continue to grow and learn and other talented teams separate themselves. After some holiday tournaments we get some great games this week as part of the 17th Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The ACC holds a [read more…]

Federal Law Will Relinquish the Cannabis Hypocrisy

November 30, 2015 // 0 Comments

Here we are still waiting as the American public, trying, hoping desperately to expect our federal government to finally do the right thing and drop all federal laws against cannabis. Everybody knows its time and its true. We now have 23 states in the United States who have voted and maintained their rights to lawfully manufacture and distribute legal marijuana product in the most rationalized form without impediment from the existing backwards federal law. Half [read more…]

It Costs 2 Cents to Make a Penny!

November 26, 2015 // 0 Comments

The U.S. government wasted approximately $75,000,000 ($75 million) dollars last year minting pennies.  That may not sound like such a big deal on the surface when our national debt is $18,200,000,000,000 ($18.2 trillion) dollars and growing, or our 2015 yearly deficit was $439,000,000,000 ($439 billion) dollars.  However, considering it costs $150,000,000 ($150 million) to mint pennies only worth $75,000,000 ($75 million), why are we foolishly wasting $75,000,000 a year?  It basically costs two cents for [read more…]

Time For Television To Get Rid Of Drug Ads

November 23, 2015 // 0 Comments

Drug ads – It’s time for television to get rid of drug ads.  I think we as a public have had all and enough of the flurry of two minute television advertisements about pharmaceutical drugs. Give me a effin break already! The amount of time these advertisements take up, annoying the public to the hilt. Contradicting every other sentence as to its safety and effectiveness like a runaway lying machine. We really need to be [read more…]

How often do you find yourself looking at other people’s happy facebook and social media posts and think they must be happier than you?  You think, “Look at them, they have what I want?  If I could just be thinner, richer, have a better job, live in a bigger house … you get the picture… THEN I COULD BE HAPPY!” Guess what?  It won’t work!  Well, maybe for a fleeting moment, but in the long run [read more…]

Highs and Lows, Ups and Downs of Circus Life

November 20, 2015 // 0 Comments

When I worked in the corporate sector in the “real world,” I had stability.  I knew what to expect everyday: I worked 8:00-4:30, left the house at 7:00am and returned by 5:30pm.  I would start cooking an hour later and eat by 7:00/7:30.  I taught acrobatics every Saturday from 11:00am-1:00pm, came home and ate lunch, and napped from 3:00-5:00.  Sundays were chore days.  Life was predictable, life was fine. This life, my circus life?  It [read more…]

Should the USA allow Syrian refugees in America?

November 19, 2015 // 0 Comments

The Syrian refugee situation is a trending topic, currently all over the news and social media.  Most democrats want to let the refugees in.  Most Republicans are against it.  It’s a simple anonymous “yes” or “no” vote here.  What do you think? There are two sides to the argument.  There are 650,000 Homeless in America.. 195,000 Homeless kids.. 50,000 Homeless Vets.  The Wall Street Journal on 11/18/15, section A19 mentions 58,000 people in the NYC shelter [read more…]
